I feel great pleasure in reflecting the status, achievements and also the challenges ahead connected to the issues, Swaraj Foundation is working on since long. It is one year journey of Swaraj Foundation showing hard work with the community. Swaraj Foundation has been uncompromising with the development of the poor, vulnerable, disadvantaged and underprivileged community with our team members working relentlessly in the real ground. Right from the beginning, the organization has mobilized and empowered Dalits and Adivasis to demand their rights from government departments and PRIs. Raising marginalized people’s voice and providing them appropriate platform to express their aspirations has been the mandate effort/activities of the organization. Apart from the same, we have started alternative development module in the rural areas that is formation, promotion and empowerment of CBOs, Women groups, Children groups, Adolescent groups and Youth groups to accelerate the development process and its achievements. As we see most of the government development schemes/programs have not been implemented properly. So our prior activities were information, communication regarding the schemes of government and leveraging of those schemes to the families and communities. People need to be aware about core issues of Health, Environment, Education, Participation and Survival of the Children.
I would like express our sincere thanks to our donor agencies , the government departments, network partners & like minded organizations, PRI members, AWW, Sahiya, ANM, CBOs, and also individual well-wishers and co-travelers for its valuable support. I also thank to all our staffs in the office and in the fields whose hard work and outreach with community is really making a big difference in the society. Apart from our regular team members there are many volunteers who have given their full energy to make the program successful. In fact, this whole team is the real strength of the organisation. I’m very much thankful to them also.
